This is Nelli… It’s also the first portrait I took with my new (old) medium format film camera.
Nelli has been my best friend for over 20 years.
She’s also my business partner and a photographer herself.
When we started our most recent photography business, we did it as a 50/50 partnership.
We’ve learned to believe in each others strengths.
We have a marriage and a friendship and a partnership – all at the same time.
None of these things are easy, but I know we are better off for honoring each others gifts and believing in each other.
I’ve tried to do a lot of things alone. Through that I’ve learned that I’m better off as a part of a team.
A wise man once said, “1 + 1 = 3”
In our case it’s more like 1 +1 = 10 🙂
