Day 10: Kids

January 11, 2017

I took this photo on Velvia slide film with my Pentax 645N.  One of the big differences about shooting with film is that you don’t just set up a shoot and then handle your camera like a machine gun.

Every shot is more thoughtful and intense.

Normally, with a photo like this, I would shoot 20 with my 5D3 and probably still end up doing a head swap.

But with film, you patiently get the best shot you can.  And even though there is a blinking boy, this is my family.

These are my kids – and they’re not perfect, but they are beautiful.
